National Missing Children's Day

Did you know that the late President Ronald Reagan declared May 25th “National Missing Children’s Day” in 1983? And 2008 will mark the 26th anniversary of National Missing Children’s Day.

Each day thousands of children go missing all over the world. The horror for the parents and family are unfathomable. Think for a moment about the child that has been abducted. It is gut-wrenching. I ache for the families and, especially, the children.

Please take a moment to think about what roll you can play to bring this horrible darkness to the light. Do not ignore the Amber Alerts. Stop and look at the posters posted in places you shop. It only takes a moment to save a child's life. There have been MANY times a child has been rescued because of someone taking the time to stop and look. Please, stop and look.

No act is too small to help save the life of a child and bring them back home to their family. Please consider participating in one or more of the above activities, so you can help reconnect lost children with their loved ones.
